So much better than the last time I ordered. Perfectly crispie delicious catfish. The fried green tomatoes are to die for. The hushpuppies were warm and melted in my mouth, the only thing missing was the honey butter which I forgot to ask for. I ordered for pick up but the service over the phone was easy. The resteraunt appeared empty at 3pm but the hoast was very nice. I miss the large alligator in the front but it gave the waiting area more space. New management well done from the last time I ordered about a year ago.

My daughter and I had dinner on January 7th. Let's start with the food which was amazing! I had the crab cakes which were delicious and a baked potato which was scrumptious with all the fixings. My daughter had the smoked ribs that were so tender they practically fell off the bones. We shared hush puppies, yummo. The salads were fresh and large. The service was absolutely amazing.Adam was our attentive server, we didn't have to ask for anything, he checked on us often. Mustafa was great as well helping me since I walk with a walker and needed assistance. We had some issues with our credit card and the patience Adam had with us was off the charts! Mustafa brought us coffee while we waited for everything to work out. I recommend Hush Puppy restaurant to anyone who wants delicious food, great service and a comfortable atmosphere. We will be back!!

I've been here twice and the consistency in the service and food quality is comforting-- the iconic 'hush puppies' are more like corn fritters to me, but they are so delicious that I don't care what they're called, I want them in my mouth!! The corn flavor is almost sweet, the texture snappy with a good outer crunch and inner softness, plus they give you plenty of fresh butter to slather them with. Despite being blackened, I do feel the catfish could be seasoned better, because I could barely taste the flavors of the seasoning rub. In this picture I had french fries, but as a side dish I really recommend the Red Beans and Rice instead, the flavor is great on those and you can get fries anywhere. Loses 1 star because they only sell bottled water (no free water, which feels a bit stingy), but apart from that this is an excellent old-fashioned dining experience. The decor is nostalgic without being tacky, and I'm happy this place has re-opened after shutting down during COVID. The new owners seem to be doing the best they can with what they have. They even give you nice containers for your leftovers, because the portions are way too huge for 1 person to finish all at once. Yes, the price is high, but considering I got multiple meals out of each visit I think it's fair. Come hungry, leave happy!

Y'all, this place is dynamite. The hush puppies were so pillowy and crispy and that butter was something else. I gotta figure how to replicate that. The collards were cooked perfectly, the bleu cheese dressing on the salad was so fresh and flavorful, and that jambalaya had a nice Cajun kick to it. I've had good food in the south and this was an awesome contender. Even my southern beau approved.

First time at this place Let''s start by saying they now open for lunch! Which is great The service was good, a young man named Youne from Morocco was very friendly and helpful. The food was good, had the catfish/shrimp combo also had cup of gumbo and red beans and rice . Just a touch of salt would make it really delicious Since the early opening is a new thing not many people know about it yet so it was pretty quiet in there on a Saturday at noon There was 5 tables occupied. All in all I had a good experience and a good time there Will come back
